Show-off Hummer, and more. Sedona 2013

I sooooo should be editing other people's pictures this Black Friday (or, at the very least, supporting my dear husband's Dukies v. Arizona basketball right now), but I will get to all of that later.  Instead, I need to post this picture of an Anna's hummingbird who was clearly showing off for the camera at the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, AZ that I took yesterday.   And, a couple pictures of the awe-inspiring chapel itself, as seen from millions of lenses, and now mine.

Week 2. Golden Hour.

Right?  I had at least three photo shoots during golden hour this week and I just didn't turn around and hit the mark.  Here it is anyway.  (P.S. I wanted to crop the random lady out but I LOVE the long shadow she made)

Week One ~ Backlight

A new photo challenge, my peeps!  Here is Week One.  A backlight challenge.  I took this at Golf N Stuff today during a charity shoot for Kids of Steele.  Wow.  I am so humbled by the families dealing with cancer and diabetes, by the volunteers who give their time to raise money for these families, by the families who give their money to support all of this.  I was so honored to be a part of the event.  And, hey look, I was able to take this backlit photo for this challenge.

We made it through the heat and I am beginning to get used to wearing socks again.  Thank you all for putting up with my posts and commenting on them and liking them!  I really appreciate the love and support for this career I am trying to make my own.   But alas, the sun is setting on this project...

My son forgot about his rip stick.  He forgot that playing outside is something people do.  And so begins Arizona's outdoor season...(sorry, oh those of you who have had snow already)

3 more days!!!!!!! (until Halloween) (and the end of this project) (and, just saying, it's still in the 90s as the high during the day) (I got sunburned at the bridal fair yesterday).

The nights and mornings are fantastic...gorgeous.  This picture is reminiscent of Day 56 which was also a SOOC (straight out of the camera) sunset.  July in Vermont equals October in Arizona!  Seriously.
